Togger Tours uses football as a gateway to understanding Liverpool: its docks, communities, humour, struggles and global influence.
This isn't a scripted walk or a stadium tour checklist.
It's a relaxed, engaging experience designed to work for different needs, ages, and abilities.
ABOUT TOGGER TOURS
Rooted in Liverpool. Built on Experience.
Togger Tours was created to offer a different kind of football tour, one that values people as much as places, and understanding as much as passion.
Liverpool’s story can’t be told through trophies alone. It lives in its streets, its docks, its voices, and its football culture. Togger Tours brings those elements together in a way that is welcoming, thoughtful, and accessible.
BOOK THE MOST AUTHENTIC MATCHDAY FOOTBALL EXPERIENCE
A DAY YOU DON’T SEE ON TV
This isn’t a stadium tour. This isn’t merely a souvenir photo. This is a real English football day experienced the way locals live it.
Togger Tours takes you beyond the Premier League and into the heart of Liverpool’s football culture, where the game is close, loud, welcoming, and full of stories.
THE DAY, STEP BY STEP
Your day begins with chauffeur-driven transport, setting the tone from the very start. As the city rolls by, your guide a Blue Badge accredited Liverpool guide and award winning football journalist brings Liverpool’s football story to life: the rivalries, the traditions, and why this city lives and breathes the game.
Before kick-off, enjoy proper pre-match hospitality a seated meal, a drink, and time to relax and talk football. No rushing. No standing in the cold. Just the anticipation building.
Then it’s match time.
A live non-league game, close to the pitch, shoulder-to-shoulder with local supporters. You’ll hear every shout, feel every tackle, and see the game from just a few metres away.
No VAR.
No corporate boxes.
Just passion, noise, and football played for pride.
After the final whistle, there’s time to stay, talk, and soak it all in the stories, the characters, the feeling of being part of it, not just watching it.
You’ll leave knowing you’ve experienced something most visitors never do.
WHY THIS DAY IS DIFFERENT?
Because it shows you the soul of Liverpool football.
Many guests tell us:
“This felt more real than the Premier League.”
It’s the matchday you’ll still be talking about long after you go home not because it was bigger, but because it was closer.

MEET THE SPECIALIST TEAM
Meet Michael Tremarco: A Liverpool City Region Blue Badge Tour Guide, seasoned football stadium tour guide, professionally accredited and trained to deliver accurate, inclusive, high-quality tours. He has a deep knowledge of Liverpool's social and economic history, alongside being a captivating public speaker.
Meet Dr Hÿdêr Gårēth Jäwád: A multi-award-winning sports journalist (Liverpool Echo, The Times, The Independent, Birmingham Post), a doctor of philosophy in historical anthropology (Birkbeck College, University of London), a radio broadcaster (BBC 5Live, BBC WM), a published author of eight books, and an expert in the history, culture and heritage of football in Liverpool. He scripted his first theatre show, "Dancing at Wolves", in 2026.
In his younger years, he played football (briefly and unremarkably) at various levels, including the North West Counties League, the Lancashire League, the West Cheshire League, the Liverpool County Combination, and the I Zingari League. A snapped cruciate ligament at age 19 combined with the start of a journalism career at age 24 were nature's way of telling him to stop playing football.
