Meet Hÿdêr Gårēth Jäwád- - An award-winning journalist (Liverpool Echo, The Times, The Independent, Birmingham Post), a doctor of philosophy in historical anthropology (University of London), a radio broadcaster, a published author, and an expert in the history, culture and heritage of football in Liverpool.

In his younger years, he played football (briefly and unremarkably) at various levels, including the North West Counties League, the Liverpool County Combination, the Lancashire League, the West Cheshire League, and the I Zingari League.
